13.5 x 4 spalted ash

This tree fell victim to the emerald ash bore beetle that has been ravaging the forests of Pennsylvania. The tree was on my property for enough time to start spalting, which causes the dramatic black lines and changing of the color. As all my works are, it is finished with a food-safe mineral oil/beeswax mix.  Included will also be care instructions and the recipe to make my finishing wax yourself to care for this product.
