Meet the maker

I grew up spending evenings and weekends in my father’s wood shop, helping him build furniture and other wood products.  He was a kiln dryer by trade, who had an immense knowledge of wood.  I have always enjoyed woodworking, but after his passing, I dug out his old craftsman lathe that I hadn't seen in use since the early 90's, and that's when my passion for woodworking really ignited.  In woodturning, I found something I had been missing all my life.  There is just something about it that calms and challenges me at the same time.  It is a constant battle to become better and find new ways to allow the wood’s natural beauty to shine through.  I first fired up a lathe completely lost on how to properly operate it in December of 2017.  I've been hopelessly addicted since then.  I work almost every single day to improve my skills.  All the wood I use is sustainably harvested here in Bedford, PA.
